Bulgarian Energy Holding issue of bonds to be traded on the local bourse

Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) bonds will be traded on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), sources from the company have said. The holding owns all state-owned energy assets of Bulgaria. The new issue of securities will be a part of the 400-million-euro worth of eurobonds that were successfully sold recently on the Irish Stock Exchange.
A few days ago, the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) entered BEH and its eurobond emission into the register of the issuers of securities. The bonds' maturity date is June 28 2025 with interest rate of 3.5 per cent. This new issue of securities will be used to refund an older stack of Eurobonds that were issued in 2013 with maturity date in November this year.
Experts claim that this is the first time since the establishment of the BSE that such a large issue of bonds will be traded – bonds, whose IPO was first offered abroad, brokers say. The bond emission of BEH, traded on the BSE, will lead to an increase of the liquidity of Bulgaria's capital market.
